You will work for a tourism agency located in Auckland, New-Zealand.
You are available for 4 to 6 months.
Responsibilities
– Operational Activities
Logistics Support: Assist in the logistics of tour operations, including transportation, accommodations, and activities.
Supplier Coordination: Help identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers such as accommodation providers.
Quality Assurance: Assist in implementing quality control measures to ensure high standards of service.
– Supplier Development
Supplier Research: Help identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure they meet the company's standards.
Contract Assistance: Support the negotiation of terms and agreements with suppliers.
– Communication and Coordination
Internal Collaboration: Work together in marketing, sales, and customer service to align tour offerings.
Client Interaction: Assist in communicating with clients to understand their needs and provide information.
Promotional Activities: Support the planning and execution of promotional activities.
Reporting: Help generate reports on tour performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
Qualifications and Skills
– Qualifications
Education: Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Marketing, Tourism Management, or a related field.
Experience: Previous internships or part-time jobs in related fields are a plus.
– Skills
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills to manage various tasks.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect with participants and team members.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assist in resolving issues effectively.
– Certifications
First Aid/CPR: Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus, but not necessary.
Working Conditions
Office Environment: Primarily office-based with regular communication via email, phone, and video conferencing.
Travel: Some travel to our tour locations; extensive travel as a chaperon assistant.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing schedules and urgent demands.
Collaborative: Working closely with our cross-functional team and external partners.
What We Offer
Unpaid Internship: This is an unpaid internship opportunity.
Starting January 2025 for 5 months
By fulfilling these responsibilities and developing relevant skills, interns can effectively contribute to communication development, product management, and tour chaperoning, gaining valuable experience in the process.
